my education

Rodney Mott

My first apprenticeship was in Penryn, CA with Rodney Mott. Learning all of what Woodfired ceramic life was about. Rodney’s work is focused on one of a kind pieces. He goes from funcional ware to sculptural pieces.  I return when I can for woodfires.

Joel Magen

My second apprenticeship landed me in Santa Cruz, CA working with Joel Magen. Joel’s work focused on woodfired production pottery. I completed my years and stayed on seasonally and collaborated on work for the Dark Horse Pottery and Santa Cruz Pottery shop until he passed away.

Linda Schauble

In the recent years I have worked alongside Linda Schauble in Davenport, CA. We have been collaborating together for several years at her home studio.
